FIMMG SALERNO HISTORY
WHY FIMMG SALERNO WAS BORN
Mutuality had the merit of maturing social awareness of the right to health protection. This awareness has overwhelmed the doctors inserted in the system to become victims of it.
It is well known that the bureaucracy has imposed rules as parameters and limits of pharmaceutical prescriptions, believing that the protection of health can be guaranteed with sterile budgetary limits. Each of us has had a professional and moral training that we consider sufficient by itself to exercise according to the much claimed science and conscience, in the name of this we have rebelled against the bureaucratization of medicine which has reduced us to scribes concerned with prescribing according to this or that norm.
The medical act in a mutuality regime was largely absorbed by administrative obligations, reducing it to the role of neglected exercise of the medical art that inspired poets and writers who believed to sublimate the art of healing the body. With the intention of redeveloping the medical practice, we decided to set up the section of the FIMM in Salerno with the precise intention of discussing, in the light of the experience gained, of a new health care system that respects the freedom of the doctor who is free to exercise in the interest of collectivity and not a victim of itself.
Until now, intuitive demagogic reasons have given us the conviction that everything is due to it and that the doctor, when everything is not obtained, is the only one responsible, since so far expressed it seems clear that the need to organize to seek a new health care system and fit into it. So far we have seen union flare-ups which after the initial glow they have left in the most bleak darkness.
With the FIMM section in Salerno we intend to inherit the glare of the past union outbreaks, of which Salerno doctors are always proud, by imagination, energy will sufficient to create a movement of valid opinions, as opposed to the bureaucracy that it intends to exploit, sometimes with the will of politicians, the medical profession justifying their way of acting as inspired by love for one's neighbor in need of protection, health protection.
The promoting group of the FIMM of Salerno is committed to tackling the daily problems that mutuality continually creates, and to carrying out a health policy that gives rise to a system of social health care that respects the doctor and the assisted person in the defendant.
